Warehouse Automation

Business Development Manager

A warehouse automation integrator is scaling across the Benelux and wants a solutions-led business developer to win goods-to-person and robotics projects in the Dutch logistics heartland.

Autonomous mobile robots and goods-to-person automation inside a modern European distribution centre

Location

Netherlands (Randstad)

Discipline

Warehouse Automation

Salary

€75,000 to €90,000 base, with a realistic €125,000 on target

Type

Permanent

The Netherlands is one of the busiest logistics corridors in Europe, and the appetite for automation here is relentless. An integrator with a strong project record is expanding its commercial team and wants someone who can sit with an operations director, understand the warehouse and sell the system that fixes it. This is consultative, technical, high value selling at its best.

The opportunity

You will own new business across the Randstad and the wider Dutch market, selling goods-to-person systems, autonomous mobile robots and fulfilment automation to distribution, retail and third party logistics operators. These are considered, multi-stakeholder deals with real engineering behind them, so you are solving an operational problem rather than pushing a product.

You will work closely with solution design and delivery, shaping the commercial case and carrying it through procurement and board sign-off. The pipeline is there to be built, and the projects are large enough to be career-defining.

What your week looks like

Time on site walking warehouse floors, mapping process and building the business case. Time with solution architects turning a problem into a system. Time in front of operations and finance leaders making the numbers stand up.

It is a long, consultative cycle, and the wins are worth the patience.

This role is for you if

  • You have sold warehouse automation, intralogistics systems or capital equipment with a consultative cycle.
  • You can read a warehouse and translate process into a commercial case.
  • You are comfortable across the Benelux and fluent in Dutch and English.
  • You want the deal size and complexity that automation brings.

What is on offer

  • A pipeline of high value automation projects in a busy logistics market.
  • Strong base with on target earnings that reward complex wins.
  • Solution design and delivery teams who back what you sell.
  • A business investing in growth across the Benelux.
