Marq Logistics is preparing to submit proposals for two new warehouses at its Magna Park Lutterworth scheme in the East Midlands, adding significant capacity in one of the country's best known logistics locations.
Two units, one infill plot
The plans cover up to around 753,000 square feet of industrial and warehouse space in two units, the larger with a maximum eaves height of 24.5 metres and the smaller at 21.5 metres. The buildings would sit on a 40.62 acre infill plot previously used as a construction compound.
Construction is expected to be phased, with works tabled to start in the second half of 2026 and the facilities operational in 2028, subject to planning permission.
Growing a known location
Bruce Topley, UK managing director of Marq Logistics, leads the operator, which is the logistics operating platform of Ares Real Estate.
The proposals follow earlier moves to extend the company's presence at Magna Park, underlining continued appetite for large scale space in the East Midlands.
What this means for commercial teams
- New large format warehousing usually brings commercial mandates, from leasing and customer onboarding to account management.
- Major schemes tend to compete for senior commercial talent who can fill space and build long term customer relationships.
